You may have already heard of this, but I learned last night of a way for a party to increase XP and loot on a multi-part quest. Using Delera's Tomb as an example, a party goes through parts 1, 2, and 3. Assuming the party is pretty sure it can succeed on part 4, only one party member talks to Delera to advance to part 4. The entire party then goes in and wins Part 4, with everyone getting XP and loot.
That first guy talks to Delera again and gets the final quest reward. Next, another single party member talks to Delera to advance his/her quest to part 4, and the entire party runs it again for XP and loot, plus the second member gets the end-of-quest reward. That is then repeated for the other party members.
Probably not in the true spirit of DDO, but it is a cute and effective way to increase XP and loot in a fairly short period of time.

Yea there are other farming techniques as well. South Threnal is the most popular. The final instance of that chain is very short. You kill 2 named giants and 3 hill giants. The chests are extremely good. Tomes, +5 items, exotic jewerly, u name it can be pulled from there. One person who has the quest starts it. When the final boss is about half dead, the person who started the instance leaves. Boss dies, person reneters, loot chests, rinse and repeat.
On the average it takes about 12 times before you totally ransack a chest. Meaning you open the chest and there is nothing inside for you. When you start to get things like low level scrolls and low level gems its a good time to stop.
On the average it takes about 2 weeks for a chest to fully recharge. Then you can start farming it again. My advice is hit it about 6 to 8 times so it will recharge faster.

Gee but it's sad to look back at a post from good old Grimbal, but he is exactly right about Threnal South 3. I did it with a partial TC group (Dakor leading the activities) and we did exactly what Grimbal described. Someone in the party actually needs to be on Threnal South Part 3 (meaning that he or she has done parts 1 and 2 and has part 3 open)while the other members either don't have that part of the Threnal South quest open or, if they do, they operate as described below.
A party member with the quest enters first and sets the quest on Elite (assuming you have strong fighters a good cleric and a Wiz) and one of the fighters goes forward to aggro the giants one at a time. As each one is killed a fighter pulls the next one. BUT (very important) the party MUST leave the last giant alive. At that point the party member (or members) who actually have the quest must run out of the dungeon and the others hold back until advised that they are cleared outside. NOTE to party: be sure the left-in members can kill that last giant with the others gone!
At that point the remaining party members (none of which actually have the quest and, hence, cannot end it) kill the last giant and tell the outside guys to come back in. The chest is opened (genrally to find good stuff for everybody) and everyone exits and likely does it again since the whole thing takes less than 10 minutes.
The key is for someone to finish Threnal South 1 and 2 and then keep part 3 open. Also, it is important to leave that last giant alive until the ones with the Part-3 Quest get outside.
I'm up for this any time, though I do not have Part 3 open myself. I think Dakor has it and is willing to help the others loot and re-loot that chest.

Yes... I was part of a PUG that did this the other day... we tried over and over... elite... hard... normal even... and the loot we got was semi okay. Nothing fantastic.
My thoughts... this has been over-hyped and over-used. There is always a chance to get good stuff on high lvl quests... but it is definitely not a guarantee.
Killing the giants was easy... even on elite. We ended up leaving the last fire giant on the far left... this leaves several and the boss. Once they are gone... you tell you quest holder to leave... and you kill the last giant.
Once done and everyone is back in... you check the chest. Again... it was only avg for us... we tried probably 6 times.
Overall... if it were not for the fact it was sooo easy to do... i would not even bother. My 2 cents worth.

Anyone interested in farming out CO6 on elite?
Pretty easy. Hardest part is getting someone on the end part of CO6. They have to recall before the Fury is destroyed.
Since Threnal South Part 3 had the chest removed, CO6 elite is one of only a few chests left that drop 72k items. Did it twice today, and one guy pulled a +4 axiomatic long sword. I got a +2 True Chaos Club of Wizardry 2 (ok, it's not that great, but it'll sell well).

I would definitely be interested in doing this-with Duendrin (6th level cleric) if possible, with Duagrim (10 level ftr) if not. Give me a holler in game, let's set it up.
