Folks:
As you all know, when you're invited into a party the first thing you need to do is go pick up the quest, and that usually means checking your quest list to see if you already have it and, if not, some running around to pick it up while the party waits. After thinking through that process for a while, I want to suggest a strategy and see what comments -- pro or con -- TC has to make about it.
Here's the deal:
Part 1: With the exception of quests that send you somewhere else immediately, why not make it a practice when your just wandering around Stormreach to pick up all of the quests that are close to your playing level (say one or two below or above) whenever you see a quest symbol above an NPC's head. That way you're generally ready to go at a moment's notice.
Part 2: Why not immediately abandon a quest once you have completed it and, while the pressure is off, go back and pick up the beginning part of that quest again? With Delera's Tomb, for example, abandoning the quest upon completion allows you to earn the end-of-quest bonus whenever you party up with someone wanting to do it. If you have completed it and not abandoned it, if you join a party to do it you lose the end-of-quest reward, and unless you take time to abandon it when asked to go with a party and then go back and pick it up again, you'll lose the reward, as well. If, however, you have abandoned it and picked up the Part 1 quest again some time in the past, you'll be able to get that reward if you are asked to join a DT quest.
As I understand the game, there doesn't appear to be any punishment for abandoning a quest upon completion. If I'm wrong about that please let me know.
Make any sense?
