Okay quest is two parts. The first part you must kill to drow Scorpions so to access the next part. The Instances reset once everyone leaves part 1 of the quest, so you best have cleric with raise dead or might keep someone in the instance for awhile. The casters in first part use hold person while archers have stun arrows.
Quest part 2, you need to hit runes that either have Cha, Int or high wisdom requirement to get rid of globes of madness. The globes cause random spell effect if you touch them, 90% is insta death. Skeletons respawn alot as well.
First rune is left from the entrance behind a pillar by the gate, I believe it was Cha first. Next one is down the right hall and straight between two sarccogas, arcane skeletons can cast hold person and skeletal archers have stun arrows. The other rune is down the hall.
There is a big room for next part of this, you can seek shelter on the stairs to the left, and the invisible bridge that cross over the next section to access the next set of runes to stop globes.
Then back to the bottom search for secret door across the room from the stairs. Kill wraith and get a chest. There are 3 doors with different keys needed, behind each door is traps that usually have two panels as well as loot chest. There a Res shrine but no rest shrine in here.
next part is hit levers in big room and kill each named drow scorpion in the side rooms, to gain access to a locked chest for key to two of the loot room chest.
Now here comes the party killer you have to split the group, if you fail in this part you must either request DM intervention or do part 2 ALL over again since gates won't open no matter what. Two go to left room while other 4 go to right room. stand on pillar to open gate. each group must progress though each room, but the people in east room must hit switch for people in left area. The right room has 2 arcane skeletons, 2 knights and archers and 2 globes. have someone hit the lever and a person with high wisdom hit the rune on other side of room RIGHT away to rid globes. In left room they kill cultist then move to a puzzle to open next door as well as gate to access right room and a shrine to north once gates open. You have to also fight 3 spectre brothers to finish this section.
next section is a door that open in right area, that leads to a hall with 3 traps and 3 groups of stunning skeletal archers. a door to the left needs to be picked. some of the floor crumbles and you have to fight a named deathstalker scorpion. The chest here give green key to loot room for final chest.
Next section is backed in trapped hall but take a right, kill skeletons. Next section has alot of skeletons in a set of ajoining quaters. You must hit runes before globes kill your party.
Finally the last room down the hall. The room has 3 globes that do not shut off, a cultist cleric and drow scorpion and hounds. Draw them outside the room to fight. Then the boss of this level, 4 CR10 tharnak hounds refered as hounds of madness that cast phastasmal killer like crazy. Try to draw one at a time to entrance, web and slaughter before they can cast phantasmal killer. Once all hounds are dead, you get quest complete. Chest to left has the book, chest to right has mediorce chest (i got rapir+1 kit, potions and 300gp). Talk to person that gave you the quest for another mediorce reward (180000 item or less, ie wep or armor +3 or +1 with powers).
Why do this quest, while special treasure may be found in dungeon so people say, my group did not get any. You may just want to do this for the quest completetion either way, its hardest quest in the game.
