Well... I completed this last night... only took "forever".
The issue is that it is a major pain in the butt having to do all the running around on this... mix it with Elite... and you know my pain.
Well... we died so many times... I got zip for XP... yep... 11k for the experience wiped with 5 deaths. However, I did get the massive amount of favor... so there was some trade-off. The chest were about average... nothing to scream about... and the end reward was horrible... consider the pain of going through this quest.
Good o' mucky did spawn in the fire pit... but at this point... no one wanted to go kill him, except for two of us... and on elite... even though both of us were 10+ in lvl... it was not happening.
The makeup for this is as follows:
3 tanks
1-2 clerics
1 mage
Our (final) makeup was as follows:
2 tanks
1 wiz
1 rogue
2 clerics
The rogue does not really do much simple because all the traps either can be disabled by a switch or they cannot be disabled at all.
Skills:
YOU MUST HAVE FEATHER FALL! No doubts about that. You need jump too... unless you have a good jump already (+14 or so). Take mage armor potions... those seem to help on the force traps... which btw, cannot be disarmed.
Resistances: Electricity, Acid, Fire
Mobs: Trogs, Trogs, Trogs... oh and slimes/oozes/puddings
(Trogs come in flavors -- shaman, warlords, to name a few)
There are few shrines... but take lots of potions and wands! This is a long quest... but someone that knows where everything is could complete it with a decent group in around 2hrs. We went 3hrs simply because we lost and gained in our party... so many times.
